Troll Pub Under the Bridge

This place has a good environment, good food, and great drinks! I highly recommend this as a must visit. Plus it has a great place to sit and smoke completely separated from the bar/ restaurant area.

Good service, and great upscale pub food. The atmosphere is terrific, and lives up to its name of being under the bridge - the entire thing is below ground. Great walking spot for the downtown area!

The vibe is really cool and almost reminds me of Harry Potter. We got the Beer Cheese with Pretzels to start with and they were SO GOOD! I got the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and it was ok. The chicken was a little dry and there wasn't much buffalo sauce on it but I just asked for a side of buffalo and then it was fine. The fries and tots were good!!!! My bf got the beer cheese burger and we both thought it was amazing. Next time I would definitely get that! Our bartender was super nice and really personable.

This place is amazing. Their seasonal items were delicious. I can't wait to go back. The atmosphere and general set up of this place is so cool. I recommend this place to anyone who mentions this city. Definitely check it out if you get the chance.

I ate at the bar before a UofL BB game. It was extremely crowded, of course, but we still received great service and food. My chicken fingers were the best I've ever had!

I had the beer cheese burger and I have to say, it may have been the best burger I've ever eaten. The fries are excellent as well. Beer selection was great and overall an awesome place. I highly recommend.

Didn’t get a picture of the food, but we did get a picture of Louis the Troll ! This place has such a novel and fun aesthetic and it’s under an actual bridge! I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap, and was happy when I saw the HUGE size of the sandwhich. Everything was delivered so fast, and our server was super attentive to our drinks and our experience. It’s super close to the Yum Center, so if you’re here for a game or conference, definitely give this place a try!

Nice pub. You'll get nice sized portions of food and drinks. Food is good and reasonably priced. I had the fish and couldn't even finish it. The fried pickles are a must.

Troll Pub is awesome! They have big juicy burgers and delicious fries. The best beer cheese around! They also have a huge selection of beer and liquor.

Wonderful bar and restaurant in an out of the way location yet close to the hustle of downtown. Very cool interior and many seating options. Staff is very friendly.

Loved being able to reserve online for our group of 10! When we arrived for our first visit we were treated to the "secret room" which turned out to be a special benefit for us. And we had a fabulous server... David. Be sure and ask for him, he will not disappoint.

The food was delicious and the staff was great! We can't wait to go back next time we are in the area.

The atmosphere is cool with above average food, the server was informative and super friendly. We would come back again to try out the secret room behind the book case. I could have given a 4.5 but there’s no option for that.

Plenty of seating, awesome food, private dining areas and has an old world feel. The menu has a great variety from comfort to home cooked and healthy.

Fun eclectic pub style restaurant. The food was good and the drinks were tasty. The service was a little sporadic, but ok. The fried pickle appetizer was delicious, as well as the poutine. Which there was 1 or 2 more vegetarian options. Overall worth the trip.

Great food and a really interesting layout. This was my first time there. Ate at the bar and Dee was the barkeep and did a phenomenal job. I had the roast beef sandwich. Big, fresh cut beef. Lots of beers on tap. Will be back for sure.

Stopped in for a beer after the basketball game. It was busy but the bartenders were very fast and friendly. Cool setting. Didn't stay to try the food.

Beautiful space. Staff was super nice but inattentive. The burger was pretty disappointing and the fries were cold. I have a feeling there are some gems on the menu that could have been good... If the staff had cared enough to make some recommendations.

Cool old building, neat history. The brickwork and preservation is appreciated as we lose so many of our historic buildings. The food and drinks were really good. My friends leftover half-burger literally saved my life after too many drinks the following night.

The atmosphere was exactly what I had hoped for. The place has a lot of exposed brick with nice live edge cocktail tables. A respectable selection of beer, with local and popular national selections, along with a large drink menu and decent offerings. If you want a place where you can relax in Louisville, I suggest this one.

The general vibe is here great. Chill and laid back. Weve been twice and had the same hostess who absolutely did not want to be there or speak to us. The craft brew menu left a little to be desired but overall a solid stop.

Fun place tucked underground by the river. Really good food and good beer selection.

I don't drink, but I have had dinner with friends here a few times. It's a really cool atmosphere. I love the architecture and interior design of the building. The food fare is definitely above-par as far as "bar food" goes. It is more pub than bar. It's fairly classy as well. Everyone working there is friendly.
